There are many reasons and ways on how to lose weight. Some do it for health purposes; while others simply want to achieve that ideal figure. In order to become successful, one resort to cosmetic surgery, strenuous exercises, diet change or intake of fat burning drugs especially those herbal supplements. However, there are weight loss herbs to avoid depending on one’s present medical condition such as…

Anticoagulant herbs such as garlic, chamomile, ginger, gingko and aloe vera prevent blood clotting, which is the primary cause of heart diseases. However, it is another one of the weight loss herbs to avoid especially when taken with aspirin. This could cause internal bleeding or the blood vessels might burst due to its burning effect.

Abortifacient herbs such as southernwood, wormwood, mugwort and barbery are used to speed up the menstruation cycle among females. Nonetheless, this is another set of weight loss herbs to avoid by pregnant women.

Aside from these breastfeeding mothers should avoid the following herbs: black walnut, chickweed, periwinkle, sorrel, parsley, thyme, peppermint and yarrow. It is because they cause lactose intolerance or lactase deficiency, which means mothers, would have a hard time produce their own milk.

There are other weight loss herbs used worldwide; however, extra caution is advised before taking them.
